Child, Youth, Family
Child or Youth Counselling
The key is to create a safe and non-threatening space and relationship within which our young people can explore and learn about their own patterns of behaviour.
I offer parent coaching and psychoeducation sessions that target safety planning, emotion coaching, behaviour management and resiliency building.
I Provide a comfortable, safe space to sit and explore this family energy may give you some insight into the patterns that may play out at home as a family.
Covid 19 Update
Now that the Hamilton Centre for Personal Development is open for business, I am back to work and full services. Some of you may want to continue to book an ‘on-line video therapy’ session or book ‘check-in’ sessions over the summer months and wait until closer to September to support transitions back to school, before booking ‘in-person therapy’. Some of you may want to resume full therapy at this time. Please let me know what your needs are and I will try to design a plan that works for you and your family. If you are booking an ‘in-person therapy’ session, I will send you our new policy and procedure prior to your visit so you come prepared and feel safe and comfortable while you are here.

I genuinely believe in a person’s ability to change. I have been witnessing, over a long career, to the magic that happens when someone has the opportunity to safely explore their own life experiences to develop personal insight into their day to day patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Allowing this Insight Out leads to empowerment and positive change in real time.
I absolutely love working with children and youth and see real results that are cultivated by a genuine therapeutic relationship and connection. Providing a safe and comfortable space to explore health and well-being are essential tools that help the process along and the environment at Energy Tap is well established and supported within the Hamilton Centre for Personal Development.
I understand that busy family schedules can get in the way of coming to see me. I don’t want the decision to get help and support placed on the ‘back burner’ just because it doesn’t fit into the busy days and weeks everyone has. I am flexible with my hours and will try and accommodate a schedule that fits with yours. I offer weekday evenings, and weekends, both Saturday and Sunday appointments are available.
